Clara Vanden Bosch '18 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Clara VandenBosch and I am a student-athlete at Flathead High School in Kalispell, Montana. I have been playing soccer for a majority of my life, and I would like to continue playing after I graduate from high school. Besides soccer, I also play basketball, rugby, and I run track. Soccer is my tool to get good college looks, but academics are my top priority. I am part of the International Baccalaureate and it helps students get the college level of homework. It carries a bunch of courses of education, but I only take classes that help me in my interests for college. I am using soccer as my helping hand to get offers, but academics will me the hook to get me into colleges I would enjoy attending.

    Soccer has a huge impact in my life. I love to play it, watch it, and I love it just in general. I'm looking for the next level. I feel that once I graduate my last high school season, I will not be finished playing. In my 2016 high school season, I played center back, was captain, and part of Montana's All-State selection team. I also play for Rocky Mountain FC, and I have been playing for them since 2011. I am a defensive center-midfielder for the 1999 team. I enjoy playing both positions because I like to control the middle. It forces me to look up and find good opportunities to score, and it helps me with my technical skills. I like to attack the middle a lot and then find the through ball or a scoring opportunity ; I feel like that is my strongest suit when on the field.

    I am a very hard worker on and off the field. I believe if you want to be good at something, you have to put your mind to it. I am very humble when it comes to winning and losing. I believe humility will get people far in life and it shows today. I love soccer and I am looking forward into continuing to play after high school.
