Personal Statement
Soccer
- I've played since I was 4 years old, which would be about 13 years now.
- I have always had a very competitive spirit in everything I do including school work, athletics, and accolades.
- I'm a team player. I have had leadership roles, like being captain of teams, as well as leading other areas of the team such as "Voice/Head of the defense" and character building off-the-field.
- I understand the game of soccer and how it is played. I've been able to help coaches with line-up changes as a result of roster changes and formation changes. In addition, I'm a very versatile player and I can be put almost anywhere on the field if need be or even just to give another teammate a breather.
- The biggest asset I bring to the table is my speed when out running strikers and being quick on my feet.
- I am a very patient player. I'm comfortable holding the ball while analyzing the field and deciding what the best option is.
- I'm very vocal on and off the field.
Academics
- I started taking high school level courses in 7th grade.
- I've always been ahead of my peers academically.
- I am always on Honor Roll. I got my first B in a course during sophomore year of high school. Up until then, I had not received lower than an A.
- The high school I attend has a very prestigious academic program.
Character
- I have always been complimented for my maturity and my organizational skills.
- After getting a concussion my sophomore year of high school, I was not able to finish the soccer season or much of my classes. However, I pushed through and took my first AP exam and I received a 3 for Human Geography.
- I'm very independent. I set my own goals and I reach them on my own.
- I'm outgoing and I love to help people.
