Personal Statement
As someone who has been playing soccer all my life and is dedicated to the sport my goal is to continue my passion for the sport during my college experience. Throughout my development, as a player, I’ve trained and competed on the club level and with ODP NH. Currently, I’m in my second year as a varsity starter with my high school team at Proctor Academy in Andover, NH. I am a hard-working student in the classroom and take my intellect from school out onto the pitch every practice and game as a vocal and motivating leader for my team. I love challenging myself and soccer has definitely helped me grow confidence, through different styles of play and trying all different positions. As a striker I have the ability to contain the ball and be a threat to most back lines as a goal scorer, but I can also play as a skillful outside wing with dangerous balls across the box, and lastly I can change the speed of play through my composure in the midfield and the ability to switch fields along with high-risk through balls. It is equally important to me to be at a college with a vibrant soccer program and most importantly an enriching academic environment. Soccer has definitely taught me many things but if there is one thing I have learned it is to chase my “goals” and playing college soccer is my next big GOAL.
