As a student athlete my goals are to improve my skills as a soccer player, but most of all I want to excel as a student who loves to learn. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve played the fun and intense game of soccer, it has had a great impact on who I am today. Soccer has enabled me to be around girls who are in the same position as a student athlete and it always keeps me active, which is the reason I love soccer. I am a 5’2” midfielder from Albuquerque, New Mexico and will graduate in 2018. I believe my strengths as a player are to play with my left and right feet, winning balls out if the air, movement on and off the ball and taking on players 1V1. My interest in the medical field has always been the concentration of my education. I am currently taking a student council class at school which has allowed me to meet new people of various grade levels and create projects to improve our school and work with the community. I am also involved in the student athletic training program at school; I am able to attend each game during the fall and spring season. I’m able to work with the athletic trainer and the injured student athletes daily. Since I’ve been in the program I’ve learned more about sports medicine, it is hands on and it is visual leaning which fits my interest. I am looking for a school where I can flourish in the class room as well as on the field.
