Personal Statement
Trying to figure out what I wanted to do as a career was hard up until this past summer when I volunteered to coach the boys modified soccer team. I absolutely loved watching them learn something new and gain the confidence to use those skills. I want to combine the two things I love the most, Soccer and teaching/coaching. My school is a Class D school, which means everyone on the team does not live and breathe soccer like I do. I had to get creative on my scoring and my passes to win the game. That's where my speed and learning to shoot with my left foot would come in to play. Sometimes it got frustrating when I would cross pass and basically plant the ball right in front of the goal and no one was there to put it in. I was voted Captain for the 2nd year in a row and helped lead the team to sectionals. My team mates know they can always count on me off and on the field. I take criticism very well and I am always looking to improve my skills while learning new things. Most of all, I always give 100% every game and every practice. In the classroom, I also give 100%. I am in the National Honor Society, taking a few college courses while remaining on High Honor Roll. If my mom had to describe me, she would say I am Respectful, competitive, and determined to get things done. I would agree.
