Personal Statement
I am originally from Cambridge, Ohio. I went to school in Ohio till I was in the second grade. At recess I always played soccer, I found playing soccer so fascinating. Then at the end of second grade I moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina. Once my family got settled I got signed up for recreational soccer. I absolutely loved playing soccer, I strived to learn everything I could. At the time my parents and I weren't aware of travel soccer. I continued to play recreational soccer until I was in the fifth grade, then my family got moved again. (I've been growing up in a military household which explains all the moving.)
This time it was to Fort Polk, Louisiana. There I was introduced to travel soccer. I was at a camp that was ran by a travel coach. He instantly went to talk to my parents about joining his travel team. He noticed how aggressive, determined and dedicated I was about soccer. I ended up joining his team. We traveled and played around Louisiana. I played about three years with his team. Once again at the end of my seventh grade year we moved again. This time it was back to Fayetteville North Carolina where I continue to live now.
Here in Fayetteville, North Carolina I have accomplished making the varsity soccer team at Pine Forest High school my freshman year and started. We finished our season 19-2, won our conference, won our conference tournament and made it to the second round of state playoffs. My sophomore year I continued to play varsity and start. Again we won our conference and conference tournament. We also made it to the first round of state playoffs. I made second team all conference team. Our record was 17-3-2. These have been the best two years of soccer in our school's history.
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to get a good education, major in nursing and play competitive college soccer. I knew from the first time that I touched a soccer ball that I wanted to play in college. I also plan on being the first person in my family to graduate college. I work my hardest in every training session and game. I am considered a utility soccer player, I can play anywhere on the field and be successful. I may not be the biggest, fastest or most gifted but I guarantee you I will outwork anyone.
