Personal Statement
Soccer has been a passion of mine since the age of four. I have been on soccer teams my entire life and have played every position on the field. I am a striker and in my sophomore year of high school soccer, I scored over 75% of the goals for my team and assisted on most of the other goals. I can score with either foot or my head. Soccer has taught me how to be persistent, collaborative and how to be a leader. It has taught me how to fall down and more importantly how to get back up again. I am a natural born leader and am known for picking my team mates up when they are feeling down. I hate losing. I will always do my best to keep that from happening. As Juma Ikangaa once said, "The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare." To that end, I am committed to my practice and physical training. I spend six days out of the week weight lifting and running, and many extra daily hours with the ball at my feet. I especially enjoy training others who are coming up and working with my team mates. I aspire to be a college athlete and to be part of something bigger than myself.
