Personal Statement
I have a strong work ethic which makes me a dedicated and responsible person. I love the game of soccer and I am a strong team player. I have been playing since I was 5 years old. In the beginning, I was part of AYSO and a travel team. I even competed in the AYSO National Tournament when I was 12 years old in Tennessee, which was an amazing experience. Then, I began to play in a club team as part of Rivertowns United (RUFC). All throughout Middle School and High School I played soccer on the Junior Varsity and Varsity Team. I really enjoy playing for my school and being able to represent it. At one point, I was participating in 3 soccer teams at once but I didn't mind because I loved to be able to get on the pitch. My father also loves soccer and has always supported me as both a coach and a fan. One of my coaches would say "Don't just play soccer be a soccer player because it is a beautiful game." Furthermore, I both played and I studied soccer by taking referee courses to learn the laws of the game. Since completing this course I have been volunteering as a referee to make sure kids play safe and have fun. I have helped my younger sister by helping out in practices and playing with her on weekends. On top of that, I participate in the AYSO VIP soccer program that helps kids with disabilities have fun and enjoy soccer. I work hard and concentrate on doing what I love; playing soccer and being part of a team that is like family.
