Personal Statement
Ever since I stepped on a soccer field at three years old, I knew it was something I had a love and passion for. Athletically, soccer is my total focus. I am not involved in any other sport. I work hard in practice and play. I have to leave everything on the field for myself and my team. There isn't a time that I don't want to play soccer, from the nervous rush stepping onto the field, to the shaking of hands at the end. It's something that I can't let go. I knew at an early age that I desired to carry this on to a collegiate level.
I bring with me an unmatched work ethic. Not just in soccer, but in all that I do. I believe that whatever it is that you want, it is worth working for. I strive for knowledge of the game and in life. Quick feet, precise ball handling, and good field vision has brought me to this point in my game. I have competed on many levels of the game.
Academically I carry the same work ethic. I work hard to keep my grades to a high standard, and harder when they're below my standard. I want to be a leader on and off the field. An advanced education is important to me to carry me on in life past soccer. Hopefully, my desire inspires teammates and classmates to raise the bar for themselves and those around. Outside of soccer, I have had the pleasure of working with athletes participating in the Special Olympics. It really puts into perspective the sportsmanship and the pure, true love of your game.
