Personal Statement
Growing up I was always one of the smaller players on the field but, I had two older brothers who never took it easy on me so, I was used to playing against bigger competition. What I lacked in size I more than made up for in heart. This drive and determination has made me the player I am today.
While I like scoring goals, to me it is all about the team. I am an unselfish player and enjoy working with my teammates to pass the ball through the defense. When we are up by a couple goals, I have been known to give up an almost certain goal to pass it to a teammate who doesn't score very often. Sometimes my coaches would prefer I go ahead and take more shots which isn't something you usually hear coaches say about their leading goal scorer.
Off the soccer field, I stay active by running, biking, weight lifting, tumbling and cheerleading. I am currently teaching tumbling classes four nights a week. I am used to juggling a busy schedule and believe this will set me up to be a success at the college level.
