Personal Statement
My name is Jessica Del Corso. I am a student/athlete at Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I have been playing multiple sports for nine years now, with soccer being one of them. I have had to make some difficult choices in giving some of them up to focus on soccer. I have been told since I was young that my strengths are vision and anticipation. As I got older, aggression and finding the ball in the air have also become my strengths. I have acquired leadership skills as well as communication skills this past year. I love encouraging my teammates and pushing them to be better. It's a great feeling knowing I'm able to help and support a teammate when they look to me for guidance. I am an extremely competitive player and wish to improve myself as a player and person by playing college soccer.
I take my academics very seriously. Rather than being born with natural academic talent, I am a hard worker. I challenge myself by taking all honors classes along with the available AP classes. I also have great time management skills to keep up with my busy schedule of club and high school soccer, academics, high school lacrosse, and extracurricular activities. I do everything I can to achieve the academic goals I set for myself everyday. I hope to find a college that will challenge me academically and on the soccer field.
