Personal Statement
My name is Marisol Rosario and I am junior at Salisbury High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania, graduating in 2017. I play center back for my high school and play right midfield for my club team, Western Lehigh United. I am 5’2 and I weigh about 125 pounds. I have a GPA of 4.3 (weighted) and take several honors classes. I also take part in many extracurriculars such as Student Government Advisory, SADD, No Place for Hate, Future Business Leaders of America, Superintendent/Student Advisory, National Honor Society, and I am vice president of the Class of 2017.
As a freshman I earned a spot on the varsity soccer team. During my sophomore high school season, I received Colonial League Honorable Mention, and helped my team reach District and League playoffs. Unfortunately, 2 games before the regular season ended I tore my ACL, but then was able to come back stronger as a junior and receive Colonial League Honorable Mention once again, Lehigh Valley Live Honorable Mention, and I was also awarded defensive MVP of my high school team.
Heading into college, it is very important for me that I find a school that fits my academic needs and can provide me with an education that will lead to a successful future. I would like to go to a school where I can do this and also play soccer at a high level. I value being on a team very much and also appreciate all that soccer has taught me throughout my life, such as hard work, perseverance, cooperation, positive mindset, and the importance of physical health.
