My name is Jori Benton, I’m currently 16 years old and I have loved soccer since the very first time I played the game at age 5. I live in Fort Mill, South Carolina which borders the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. I am will be starting my junior year at Nation Ford High School. I play soccer at Charlotte Soccer Academy (CSA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. I really enjoy reading books, writing and photography; however, my passion is soccer. Soccer is such a passion of mine that I wrote a poem about the sport that was published in a book called “A Celebration of Poets, Spring 2012” and I'm a Teen Writer for the "My Carolinas Town" magazine.
I take pride in my work ethic on the field and in the classroom and a firm believer that I should always “Work Hard and Never Quit!” Speed, Strength and Soccer Intelligence are my best attributes. Speed and strength are natural abilities that I have been given, however I put additional focus on them by attending sessions with my Speed Training Coach and going to Yoga and Spin Classes with my Dad. Soccer Intelligence is a skill that I have gained from past playing experience and I look forward to gaining additional experience through future playing and soaking up information from coaches along with players. It is my personal goal to play NCAA soccer at the highest division that my talents will take me and I will continue to take steps on the soccer field and in the classroom towards that goal until it is accomplished.
