I love to play soccer. I have always been athletic and enjoyed playing sports, but I became passionate about soccer my first recreational season. I knew at that point soccer was a large part of my future.
I started playing with Easley Soccer Club when I was 8 years old and played fall and spring seasons until I could join the school team. I played on my school Junior Varsity soccer team in seventh grade and eighth grade. I have been on the high school Varsity soccer team since 9th grade. During the off-season, I played for Carolina Elite Soccer Academy starting my sophomore year of high school.
My soccer position is defensive wing, but I have played all defensive positions and the occasional offensive position, when necessary. I work hard on my skills both during practice and on my own time. I push myself to be the best player I can.
I am dedicated to the team and its success. During my high school athletic career, I have had several injuries that kept me on the sidelines for parts of the season. While unable to play, I helped my coaches with training the JV team and assisted with team management.
In addition to soccer, I maintain a parallel commitment to my academic success. I have an excellent work ethic and that shows in my grades and accomplishments. Juggling a sport and challenging courses has dramatically improved my time management and organizational skills. I am eager to contribute my skills, work ethic, and positive attitude to the right soccer team, and the right college for me.
