Haley Nelson '17 Recruiting Profile

When I was 10 years old my soccer coach said, "If she continues at this rate she'll have some serious college soccer potential!"  I remember those words like it was yesterday because I understood how hard it would be to have the opportunity to go to college.  I come from a family where only limited extended family members have completed college.  From a very young age I've had the focus and desire to make my family, teachers, and coaches as proud as they can be of me.  What sets me apart from many candidates is my tenacity.  I set my own goals, which are higher than what those who have influence over me have set, so that I can prove that I want not only the opportunity to go to college, but to be the best student and goal keeper for the school that I represent.
