Hello there, my name is Isabella Strasheim. Most people call me Bella. I am a Senior at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am 17 years of age and will be a 2018 graduate and plan on attending college to obtain a degree in medicine.
I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old and over the years my passion for playing at the elite level and ultimately at the collegiate level have guided me desires to work hard to improve my skills. I play varsity soccer for high school and I have been a starter on varsity since my freshman year. My freshman year I received two awards: 2nd Team All District and Most Consistent Player. During my sophomore year I received four awards: All Tournament Player, Offensive Player of the Year, 1st Team All District and All South Texas Team. My Junior Year I received 2nd Team All District Player.
I also play club soccer at the ECNL Level for Sting North Austin 99. I train on a daily basis working on my skills, techniques and strength. I am dedicated, coach-able and eager to be the best I can be. I know in order to be a better outside midfielder I have to work harder, training harder and compete at a higher level. I have set high goals for myself to earn my college degree while playing at the collegiate level.
I am a very versatile player able to play multiple positions as needed. My primary position is outside midfielder yet at times I play outside defense and forward. I am not afraid to get physical and do not back down on a challenge. I am able to maintain my composure and be a team leader and a positive role model. I have a very competitive spirit. I am in excellent physical shape and I am a well rounded player.
I strive to be the best student athlete as possible. I currently have a 3.2/4.0 GPA and I am ranked 76/389 in my class. I want to major in the medical field yet I have yet to decide what particular area. I am a good student. I am a member of the Spanish National Honor Society and Student Council.
When I am not playing soccer I run varsity Cross Country and varsity Track for Richard King High School. I have been running on the varsity teams my freshman, sophomore and junior years. Away from school I volunteer with the Corpus Christi Fraternal Order of Police Shop with a COP Program and Women’s Shelter of South Texas.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Bella
