Personal Statement

I was introduced to sports at the age of four and I began my journey of becoming the athlete that I am, beginning with soccer. I also spent time playing softball and tried my hand at basketball.  In 3rd grade I tried out for club soccer and have been playing ever since and continue to play United Hill Country Soccer. I also began volleyball for our local “Little Diggers” league in 3rd grade and play club volleyball as well. In my middle school career, I played volleyball, basketball, have been involved in shot-put, discus, and sprinting events during track season. This year I am competing in my first year of high school sports and will play volleyball and soccer.  Now as I am in my freshman year I played freshman volleyball, and am currently playing on Fredericksburg High School’s Lady Billies Varsity soccer team. I hope to continue the playing and supporting my school throughout my high school years.

My goal over the next few years leading up to my graduation is to continue to work as hard as I can to maintain all A’s in all AP classes and to grow as an athlete to my full potential, to work hard every day on or off the field . I aspire every day to become the best person I can be, to fulfill everyone's expectations of me, and to help as many people grow with me along the path to success. A few words I live through are “Jesus replied, You do not realize what I am doing now but later you will understand.” John 13:7. I take this with me daily so that I understand that I truly don't know what each day will be like but as long as I trust in God I will be able to get through anything.

I know the road is long to get to where I want to be but I have an amazing support system of a family who always supports me and teammates who always challenge me! I am ready to take on whatever life throws at me and to get on the next bus that will take me on the road to success.
