Shannon Reagan '16 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Shannon Reagan, and I live in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  You’ve probably never heard of it, but it’s a great place to grow up and play sports.  Soccer has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and it has always been my dream to play in college. 

I have many years of experience playing school soccer as well as travel soccer. I have experience with every position on offense, but forward is the position I play the most and am best at.  However, I am very coachable, and I am more than willing to contribute my skills anywhere they are needed.  I am blessed to be able to say that my high school career has been very successful so far.  I started on junior varsity my freshman year, and I received the award for the most goals scored.  I started on varsity my sophomore and junior years, and I also received the award for most goals scored both years.  During my sophomore year, I was selected to the All District second team.  During my junior year, I was selected as District 8AAA Forward of the year along with Most Valuable Player on my high school team.  I played with Camp Forrest soccer club at the division three level for my first seven years playing travel soccer.  I now play with Tennessee Soccer Club 2016 Girls Premier which is at the division one level.  Jumping from division three straight to division one was a little bit of an adjustment for me, but I approach the challenge with determination to succeed and help my team every time I step on the field.  I take the opportunity of playing in college very seriously.  I understand the commitment, hard work (both in and out of the classroom), and time required to play college soccer, and I will tackle these obstacles head on and with the absolute best of my ability.  I currently have a 4.14 GPA and ACT score of 26, but I plan to continue to raise my standards and bring these up.  I am also an avid member of extracurricular activities.  I am a member of Student Council and National Honor Society, and I am an officer of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America).  Participating in HOSA and the health classes that go with it have helped prepare me for a life in the medical field.  I have completed about fifty service hours through these organizations, and it has made me realize the positive impact that I am able to make on my peers and my community.

 I have yet to play my senior season of high school soccer, but I look forward to continue being someone the younger girls can look up to and come to for any advice they might need.  I think it’s very important to be a good, humble leader that has everyone’s best interests at heart.  I also look forward to pursuing my college soccer career.  I hope I caught your eye, and thank you for viewing my profile!
