My name is Jililan Ryall. I'm from Beaumont, Texas, and I have been playing soccer since I was four. I am about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weigh 104 pounds, but don't let that discourage you, I'm a fiestly, scrappy little player. I don't let size intimidate me because even though I may be considered small and stature by some, my speed and keen knowledge for the game get me where I need to be. I'm self driven and highly motivated, not to mention quirky. Outside of high school soccer, I play for a division one club team that is based out of Beaumont, but plays in Houston for the highest level of competiion available in our area. I have been a team captain for my club team since 2005 and still am today. I encourage my team throughout the entire game and give them motivation to win. My hard work during games and practices sets an example for the rest of my team mates to follow. My perserverance and determination never falters.
I am fairly flexible with where I will attend school and as long as I am playing soccer and am academically challenged, I will be happy. I am a Christian so I am open to any Christian schools that would be interested in me. The size of the school does not matter to me as long as it is not too small because I make friends very easily with people of all different types of backgrounds and interests. My parents have instructed me that any type of financial aid would be very benefitial.
In the future, I would be interested in pharmacology or other fields which require scientific background, but I am also interested in working with special needs children. I am planning to work this summer as a counselor at a muscular dystrophy camp in Texas. As far as my goals in soccer go, I would like to play competitive soccer for a college, and get a good amount of playing time. However, I do not expect myself to start as a freshman although if I did it would be awesome! Thank you for your time and consideration!
