Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to become a student athlete and earn a degree in the medical field, possibly Kinesiology and Sport Science, while playing soccer and representing my collegiate school.
Since I was 4 years old, I have been committed to playing the sport of soccer and have continued to improve every year I have played. I have played soccer at the highest club level for my age, Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), for both Challenge and Texas Rush based in the Houston area, and I was invited to an ID camp in Dalls (2013) for selection to the U16 National Team. I also played for my high school, Clear Spring High School, on the Varsity team as a Freshman.
What sets me apart from other soccer athletes is that I have overcome every obstacle that has been put in my way, and I am more determined than ever to keep playing soccer at the highest level. In April 2014, while playing a soccer game against one of the top ENCL teams in the country, Solar, I tore my ACL and meniscus. I had surgery in June 2014 and was released for contact play by the end of January 2015, where I was able to help my High School team to an undefeated season and District champions. I trained hard during the summer of 2015 so I would be strong for the upcoming season with my club team, Texas Rush. In the Fall season after the third game, while practicing with Rush, I tore my left ACL (September 2015). Although I was devastated, I was determined to make it back to play the sport I love, soccer.
I am a very determined and motivated athlete, and I train as hard as anyone to keep in shape so I can be the best player I can be. I have played many field positions for different club teams and have excelled at every position played.
