Emma Thompson '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi there-

My name is Emma Thompson, and I guess you could say, that I was born playing soccer. I started playing soccer at about four years old (GO MUSTANGS), and I fell in love with the sport more and more as the years have gone by.  My ultimate dream would be to play in college. Team USA sounds perfect after that!

The game of soccer has taught me so many things; teamwork, responsibility, friendship, and GRIT!

Practicing two to three times a week, “dribbling' and kicking the ball around at home, and games equal quite a wonderful life. Academics and school are also at the top of my list, and I'm proud to say that because of the work ethic that has been instilled in me, I am blessed to excel in both academics and sports. Success doesn't come at a cheap price. It takes dedication and hard work. I decided long ago, I was up for the challenge to maintain an excellent GPA, and also to thrive on the field. Regardless of the outcome on the field, I am continuously challenged to keep a positive attitude, in life and in sports.

I am also blessed that my family is a constant support, and my biggest fans. My dad is my coach off the field. (So he thinks, lol), and I love him for that. I don't take for granted the sacrifice of my parents to make this “Soccer Dream” of mine come true. God, Family, Soccer!
