Personal Statement
Soccer has been a part of my life since I started playing at 5. At the time we were living in Maryland and I was just playing AYSO. We moved when I was nine, and found a AYSO team here in Utah to play with until I joined my Competition team at 11. Through playing soccer I have met many new friends and people that I will never forget. Soccer had taught me to be a hard worker always, whether it's just a quick sprint to the ball, or making sure all of my school work has done. It's taught me how to work well with others, and to use their strengths to counter with my weaknesses. It's taught me the value of leadership, commitment, sacrifice, honesty, and teamwork. Soccer has molded me to become who I am, and I'm very excited to play in college. Sophomore year of high school soccer was where I feel liked I valued those things most. My sophomore year we lost in the semi-finals of the state championship, although it was sad and I'd give anything to redo it, it taught me many lessons and was an experience I will never forget. After high school I plan to graduate with my CNA and go into the medical field. I am taking concurrent enrollment classes at my high school so if possible I would like to stay in state so those credits transfer, but I'm not opposed to going out of state. Overall I'm looking for a college that will benefit me athletically and academically. I believe I have a good work ethic, leadership, and have the talent to play at the college level.
