Grace Wright '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Grace Wright and currently, I am a senior at Green Mountain Union High School in Chester Vermont.

Soccer has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, I have also loved the competitiveness and being on a team. As I teammate I strive to keep a positive attitude and be a leader, which I am able to do on my high school team as a captain. My favorite part of being a part of a team is having a family and having people who will push you to be your best on and off the field. I have played on varsity since freshman year and plan on playing for the Vermont Lightening team this winter as well as continuing on my high school indoor team. I would describe my playing style as consistent, and strong. 

When I started playing soccer in kindergarten I played forward, this was my position through elementary and middle school, along with sometimes playing in goal. As I got to high school my coach started to play me on defense and this is what I then played with occasionally playing outside mid until my senior year. I then started playing forward again. Since my positions have moved around through the years, I am strong and have experience in every position on the field.

Along with soccer, I strive to put my all into my schoolwork. My academics are very important to me and I know I am able to balance both school and soccer while excelling in both. This is because I am taking classes at VTSU-Castleton, I am able to get the experience of playing soccer while taking college classes and it is going well. In college, I want to major in Athletic Science.
