Personal Statement
I am a very strong, physical forward and have benefited from having the ability to score with both my left and right foot. I have a lot of impressive ball handling skills, which help in getting past my opponents. I also possess great speed and stamina on the field.
I have played soccer since I was 5 years old with the McLean Youth Soccer Club in McLean, Va. Currently I am playing on the U17 McLean 98G Spirit White travel soccer team. I have scored 5 goals this season and had 3 assists. I have played for the past 2 years for George C Marshall High School as a Forward. Last season I scored 7 goals and had 4 assists earning the Coaches Player of the Year award.
In addition to soccer, I have also accomplished a lot off the field in another sport, figure skating. I am a senior double gold medalist and compete in ladies freeskating at the Senior level. I have been training and competing for the past 10 years and skate daily at 5:30 am before going to school. This sport has contributed a lot to my strength and footwork skills, in addition to my endurance and stamina.
To balance my training, I am also enrolled in a Personal Fitness course, primarily consisting of weight lifting at my school. I have been able to set a school record for my weight class, dead-lifting 255 lbs. I have also just set a National record for my age group and weight class for dead-lifting 265 lbs.
These two additional sports combined with soccer make me an unstoppable force to be reckoned with in front of the goal.
On a personal note, I live in Falls Church, VA with my parents. I have two older brothers. One is currently a senior at James Madison University. My other brother is a successful restaurateur.
