Claire Johnson '17 Recruiting Profile

All my life I have been playing soccer. It has honestly made me the person I am today. I have been playing club and recreational soccer (AYSO) since I was 4, just like most girls. But my soccer experience was different. I realized at a young age that, my playing time is the most important thing. Someone can be on the top team but never play, but then someone can be on the lowest team and play to get better. I learned that from playing on my first club teamWhen I was about 9. In summer 2014, I moved from California to Washington state. I had to leave everything behind, family, friends, and my soccer team. Which was difficult. My first year at Bellevue High School was great. The thing that made it so great was that I met so many people that impacted my life, and I met them through soccer. Soccer changed my life. If I didn't have it, I would not be here today. Soccer brings people together, even if you don't know them. It has been my dream to play all over the U.S. and at a college level. I would be eternally grateful to play maybe even after college. I am one of the few that's lucky to say soccer has changed my life.
