~~My name is Hunter Thomson-Terrel and I aspire to play college soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and it has brought joy to my life ever since. Soccer has contributed to my life greatly and shown me opportunities I could have never imagined before.
I attend Kelso High School and maintain a 3.9 GPA. I am a member of our student body, and participate in several clubs such as Pep Club, National Honor Society, DECA, and Varsity K. Because of my student involvement and sense of leadership it has helped me on the pitch and in the classroom. This encourages me to take a more active role in the recruiting and college admissions process.
Next year I have enrolled into the Running Start Program through Lower Columbia Community College. This program will allow me to graduate both with a Kelso High School Diploma and a college Associate’s Degree.
I understand how vital my education is to my future and that is why I strive to become both a college athlete and student. I want to study medicine as I embark on my long term goal of becoming a dermatologist.
Throughout the year I try to give back to my sport by running little kid soccer camps and refereeing. I want to give children the same diligence, work ethic, and love of the game that this amazing sport has taught me.
I am who I am today because of soccer and my parent’s support in all of my endeavors on and off the field. Soccer has taught me to possess hard work, optimism, and the relentless spirit I have both on and off the field. This game is my passion and you will see that at your college if I am recruited. Promise.
