My name is Jordan Engman and I am a 17 year old Junior at Kentlake High School (4A school in Kent, WA). I have been a starter on the varsity soccer team since my 9th grade year. My sophomore year, I received "All League (SPSL) Honorable Mention Mid-fielder" recognition, and this past season (2015) I was awarded "Second Team Mid-fielder" honors. Additionally, this year, I received the varsity "Team MVP" award. I have played club soccer at the RCL Division 1 level (highest level in Washington State) since I was 10 years old, and have been a member of the Washington State G98 EPD team/pool two times.
Being successful academically is also very important to me. My plans are to pursue a career in Physical Therapy, so I am looking for a school where I can blend my passion for playing competitive soccer with a degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science/Pre-Physical Therapy. Currently, I am carrying a cumulative GPA = 3.7 and am ranked #22 out of 341 in my class.
Outside of soccer, my other activities have included playing high school varsity fastpitch (sophomore year, received "All League Honorable Mention Infielder" recognition), being involved in King County Equine 4-H since I was 6 years old, I was a "Buddy" in the Top Soccer program for two years (mentored special needs kids through soccer), I have been a grade 8 soccer referee for the past 2 years, and am involved in our church youth group ("Charis").
All of these activities, along side of soccer, have helped shape who I am today. Having a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and being a leader both on and off the field are just some of the qualities that I can bring to any program. I look forward to the opportunity of playing soccer at the next level!
