Personal Statement
The things that set me apart from other recruits is my strong work ethic, positive attitude, versatility, and my willingness to do anything for the team for us to be successful. I have played all over the field for my high school team and club team. From defense to midfield and to forward, I will go wherever the coaches tell me to. My strong work ethic has made me the player I am today. On the soccer field, I always give as much effort as possible and never take a play off. Every weekday after school I am in the weight room working on my strength, speed, and agility. I frequently practice my individual foot skills and juggling in my back yard or at my high school field. My high school coaches chose me to be captain of the girl's varsity soccer team my sophomore and junior years because of my positive attitude and ability to lead by example and encourage my teammates effectively. Most importantly, I love the game of soccer and that is why I want to continue playing the sport in college. I am striving to find a college that is the best fit for me academically and athletically, no matter what division it is.
I also believe in hard work off the field. I have maintained a cumulative 3.9 GPA throughout my high school career and I'm currently a junior. I have taken several honors classes and AP classes so far. In school, I'm involved in programs and clubs such as two different choirs, German Club, and We Lead, a program put together for the top sports leaders in the school to help them become better leaders. As I continue my academics in college, I'm looking to go into sports exercise or music.
