Personal Statement
Soccer has been a big part of my life since I was 6 years old and I have grown to love the sport. I have been on a club team since the age of 9 and have played in the center midfield position for the majority of my career.
I love center midfield because it controls the majority of the play and gives me the ability to communicate with my teammates on every part of the field. I love the position because there is never a dull moment and is full of action. I have been team captain for 5 years and I believe this is because of my dedication, positive attitude, and love for my teammates. My strengths are; I am mentally and physically tough, rarely come out of the game, smart, have a strong leg both (left and right), good in the air, and am extremely competitive. I can score off set pieces and also create my own shot from outside of the 18. I am viewed as another coach on the field, helping my teammates do what our coach is asking of us and keeping my team positive when we face a challenge.
My High School Team won the 2015 Washington State Championship and I have been named 1st Team All Nisqually League two years in a row. The club I play for MRFC G99 was the 2016 U.S. Club NW Regional Champions, so I know how to help my team win and do our best on the field.
Throughout the years I have received speed and agility training regularly and I also play high school softball. I currently attend Seattle Christian School and have a 3.8 GPA and am a member of the National Honor Society.
My faith and solid academics are very important to me and play a big part in my decision of which college I will attend. I would like to play soccer at a college that would allow me to earn a bachelors degree so I can go on to become either a Doctor of Physical Therapy or a Lawyer.
