Personal Statement
My name is Tessa Grywalsky. I am a senior at Middleton High School in Middleton, Wisconsin. I started playing soccer before I was 5 and since then, nothing has compared to my love for soccer. I play and train outside 8-9 months of the year and I play and train inside during the winter months. Soccer has already taught me so much about life and, it has helped me understand what is really important and what I want for my life. Because of soccer, I have met lots of very talented and passionate people from all around the U.S. Soccer has always been an important part of my life and playing in college has been my dream for as long as I can remember!
Over time, I have found my place on the field as an attacker and, my ability to use both feet and work in small spaces, has allowed me to find success in creating plays. On the field, I'm a tough, strong, optimistic and supportive team player. I am also determined and I remain calm and composed under pressure. I believe working hard and playing hard go hand in hand and the best way to lead is by example. I also believe team is family and family is everything!
In the classroom, I am interested in criminal justice, business and psychology and, my long term goal is to pursue a career in federal law enforcement. In looking at schools, I am looking for an academic environment that will challenge me as I continue to learn and grow. I am also looking for a competitive women’s soccer program where I can continue to develop as a player while playing the game I love!
