Courtney Stephens '16 Recruiting Profile

As a sister who watched her brother go through this same athletic process, I want to make sure I find the right college and team for me. I have always dreamed of going to college for soccer since I was little. Now I want those dreams to come true. I am a dedicated, hard-working soccer player that will do anything to be able to better my play. I have been playing since I was 5 and started club when I was in 6th grade. I made varsity as a freshman and to my surprise, started almost every game and played majority of the 90 minutes. Junior year I was awarded second team all conference. Another quality that will help me on this process is my perfectionist side. I can be hard on myself but that only makes me try that much harder. That also comes out in the classroom. I have a 4.0 and strive to get straight A's even in AP classes. So far I have taken and completed 4 AP classes and am taking an additional two senior year. I received a 29 on my ACT. I want to find the best college that will do the most for me so that I can play the sport I have grown up to love and get a great education.
