Emily Watt '23 Recruiting Profile

One word “olympics”, ever since I was little I have wanted to compete and swim on the world's largest stage. Not only do I want to attend the Olympics, but I want to swim at the collegiate level with a group of young men and women aspiring to be greater.

Although life seems to revolve around swimming, there's more. I want to become a successful lawyer, and by doing so I will attend college and get a dual major in government, and human behavior with a minor in journalism.

I believe I am a good candidate due to the fact that I have been multitasking all honors classes, club swim, and basketball all while maintaining a weighted GPA of 4.3. 

I believe I am different from most candidates due to the fact that I am passionate about what I do and do all things with love. I have attended a private christian school for five years which has taught me to critically think, and have an open mind coming into new things. 

I sincerely hope you consider me for your team. I love this sport and love being in a family-like atmosphere, with other athletes who can help push each other better themselves. A quote I live by in this sport is "whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve'' (Napoleon Hill).
