I have tried everything. Violin, dance, basketball, tennis, and more.
I always had to finish the season or year and "give it my best", so I had invested quite a few years in various activities. Finally, just before turning thirteen, I decided to learn to swim competitively. I signed up for lessons at our local Athletic Club. After a couple of lessons, the Coach for a Club team approached me and asked me to join his team. I was hooked! I fell in love with swimming! We practiced every day and is was wonderful! I met healthy, supportive friends that soon became like family to me. They helped me through tough times and I am so grateful that they came into my life. Before swim, I had a very hard issue with commitment, dedication and school. But when I started swim, it was like a switch was flipped and I learned dedication and commitment from practice and workouts every day. I started making A's in my classes and learned how to se goals for myself. Our team has chanaged over time but I have learned great lessons from this sport and these teamates that I am able to call family. I would like to continue my swim journey through college and to be able to keep learning new lessons, meet new people and create new memories both in and out of the water!
