My name is Elina Vanuska and I am currently a junior at Notre Dame High School Belmont. I love to swim and am currently on my 3rd year on the Varsity team. I have been swimming for as long as a can remember, and swimming competitively since the age of 9.
I push myself each and every practice and meet so I can achieve my goals, short and long term. I mainly focus on improving my middle distance freestyle, but I also try to improve other freestyle, and occasionally backstroke, events as well.
I am only a junior so I do not really know what I would like to study in college or do as a profession, but I do know that academics are very important to me and will be very important when choosing colleges. My strongest subjects are math and science, but I generally am a well-rounded student that can do well in almost any class.
Swimming is a sport I am very passionate about and I would love the opportunity to swim, as well as study, at a great college.
