Personal Statement
"I have been swimming since I was five years old. Since I first jumped in the pool, I have aspired to swim at the collegiate level. I know that swimming in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I am a very competitive swimmer with the technique and times to succeed at the collegiate level. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working swimmers and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a GPA of 3.6. I also volunteer at local youth camps and am currently a member of our student government.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in the pool. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud."
I currently swim for the AquaZot Swim Club, which happens to "take pride in teaching swimmers the skills and techniques they will need to maximize their potential both in the pool and in other areas of their lives." I am as well known for challenging myself to my full potential during practice and at meets. By doing this I have been able to accomplish swimming my 100 SCY Fly in a 53.70 and 1:00.47 in LCM. I as well swim the 200 IM (2:21.4 in LCM) (2:03.1 in SCY), 200 Breast (2:40.3 in LCM) (2:18.6 in SCY).
