Personal Statement
For the past five years, swimming has been a dynamic aspect of my life. I have acquired new skills from swimming that will have prepared me for challenges outside of the pool ,such as goal setting, sportsmanship, commitment and integrity. Within the first two years of high school, I have been fortunate enough to be awarded most valuable player two years in a row, and this past season, I have been chosen as Swimmer of The Year by the Ambassador League coaches (Div. 4). With my hardwork and dedication to training, this has led me to being a two-time finalist in CIFs, Div. 4 , in the 100 yd butterfly, and breaststroke. With a background of a good education, I have been focusing on maintaining an above average GPA. I’ve also been voted secretary of The Photography Club, and have been involved with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Committee, (WASC). At the current moment I have not chosen a major yet, but I’m leaning towards the sciences such as Biology, or Chemistry. If I am fortunate enough to become apart of your academic/athletic program , I will bring different attributes that I hope will contribute to the diversity of the institution.
