Fall 2012Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Emily To’o and I am a senior at Freedom High School in Oakley, California. I began swimming when I was five years old and fell in love with the sport from that day on. I am motivated, hard-working, and positive. I am a team player and looking to build lifelong relationships with teammates and coaches. I am someone who is involved on my campus and want to continue that spirit into college. Being an optimistic soul, I thrive off of hard work paying off and am willing to put in the time. My passion for swimming is one that will never fade.

- Awards In 2011, I received an excellence award for attitude, achievement, and attendance. I have been on Prinicipal's Honor Roll with a 4.0+ GPA since Freshmen year and have received scholar athlete awards every year. I am an active member of NHS
- ActivitiesI have been involved in the Leadership program since my Freshmen year. I was Freshmen Class President, an Academics Commissioner in my Sophomore year, and a Community Service Commissioner in my Junior Year. I wil be Connect Crew Commissioner for my Senior year. I am a founding member of Freedom's High School's Connect Crew class, training upperclassmen on being good leaders as well as making Freshmen feel welcome on campus. I was on the WASC committee, and am on the Campus Climate committee. I served on my school district's strategic plan committee, and I work at a swim school.
