I am ambitious in academics and am currently taking multiple AP classes in my schedule. My GPA currently is 4.62, and I have received the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Award for my freshman and sophomore years. I also have been named MVP on my high school swim team as both a freshman and a sophomore. I have been swimming from a very young age, and I am incredibly dedicated to the sport. I am very hardworking in practices, and attentive to instruction for goal setting and stroke work. I believe that I would strengthen the team environment because I am supportive of others, and I would work to make fellow team members feel welcome. This year, I am going to take the lead role of team captain for our varsity swim team. In swimming as in academics, I am pursing both short term and long term goals. My short term goals are to achieve more sectional qualifying times, while aiming for the long term goal of a Junior National cut. Given my academic GPA, I will also be hoping to attain an All-American cut. I am a distance swimmer, as well as a backstroker.
