Personal Statement
My name is Sydney Metzler, and I am determined, dedicated, and a very committed athlete. My passion for swimming started roughly six years ago and I aspired to compete for team USA. Six years later, my dreams haven't wavered. I show up to practice daily and don't remember the last time I have missed a practice. Everyday at practice, I am there to swim and preform my best at that time. I love pushing myself and my abilities to their limits. It is very important that there is a good team dynamic on deck and away from the pool. If I notice someone is having a rough practice or day I do my best to be there for them and encourage them to keep going. I like to look at myself as a good team mate who is caring and humble to those around me.
