Hi. This is not the typical summary. I did not know as a young child I wanted to swim nor have I been swimming from an early age. Initially my involvement in sports included volleyball and softball through freshman year of high school. Then I realized I wanted a sport that would not only challenge me, but I would be fully accountable for the success and failure of the results. Freshman year I opted to try swimming through the high school with no background at all. My learning curve was great! Many of my meets I was disqualified, as I was still learning the techniques and rules but I made tremendous progress. Following my freshmen season, I was determined to push myself to see what I could achieve as well as catchup to the girls who have been swimming for 10+ years. I joined a local competitive swim team and have now been swimming for two high school seasons and one year of competitive. Knowing I only have a couple of years under my belt, I can't wait to see how far I can go with the dedication and commitment I have made to myself. I welcome a college and a coach who wants to invest in me and supports my goals.
