I grew up watching my older brother compete throughout his high school career. Initially, I wanted to swim so I could beat his records, however, swimming has become so much more to me than that. I have been swimming competitively since I was eight years old and want to continue through college; leaving this sport after senior year in high school does not seem like an option. It has helped shape me into the person I am today by teaching me the importance of good sportsmanship, being a team player, and simply having fun no matter the results. Swimming has become a part of who I am and competing at the collegiate level is the ultimate goal of my career as an athlete.
Not only am I driven in the water, but also in the classroom. I am extremely excited to continue my education and gain new experiences during my four years of college. Ideally I'm looking for a school that breaks the boundaries of traditional education and pushes students to reach their full potential. I am determined to make the most of my college experience both athletically and academically and carry my newfound knowledge throughout the rest of my life. I truly believe that attending college is only the beginning of the wonderful journey that lies ahead.
