Personal Statement
I have always liked being in the pool since my mother introduced me to swimming over 10 years ago. I have been in competitive swimming that long with a local swim club, in Kingsland,Ga Boomers Swim Club and a member of the North Carolina Aquablazers Travelling Swim Team. My times are competitive and have made the GA State Swim Championship over 9 times. I have also achieved several Ga. State rankings in several of my events. I have continued swimming in High School and have lettered in my freshman, sophomore, and junior years and will also do so in my senior year. My goal is to swim in college and I have been diligent in the classroom keeping my GPA high. I am also involved in the community with various leadership organizations and have worked in the community pool the past 2 summers as a lifeguard and also teaching kids how to swim. I started teaching the swimming lessons after I saw several stories in the news about kids drowning in either pools or ponds around their houses. I am going to continue doing this until I leave for college. I am the top swimmer and a leader in both my swim club and high school swim team. I am a very competitive swimmer who has room for improvement. I am looking for a college where I can be molded and coached to be the best swimmer I can be. Hopefully NSCA recruiting can do that for me. I am therefore open to any options where my goal of high level competitive swimming and academic goals can be met.
