Kayla Stanley '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kayla Stanley. I'm 5'9'', 135 lbs, and I have been swimming competitively for about ten years on the Idaho Falls Swim Team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Ever since the first day of swim practice I have been in love with swimming and have dedicated my life to the training and competing that come along with it. Passing up on hanging out with friends and watching the newest episode of the latest hit television show is not something every teenage girl wants to do, but swimming is my passion, and I'd rather be swimming than doing anything else. Once I started becoming truly serious about my swimming, it never really crossed  my mind to stop swimming after high school. Swimming is such an important part in my life that I can't even imagine not swimming in college. I'm looking for a team that will not only improve my times and techniques as a swimmer, but one who will help shape me as a person. I'm not just looking for a pass time in college, I want a team that will challenge me as a swimmer and college that will challenge me as a student. I am motivated to work hard both in the pool and in the classroom as my high school career has shown. I'm looking for a future in swimming to take me as far as I can go.
