Madalyn Peterson '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddie Peterson. I first started swimming when I was 11 years old and have loved it ever since. I started swimming on a summer neighborhood swim team and I swam at Swim Atlanta occasionally. When I moved to Idaho and started getting serious about my swimming career. About 4 years ago, I decided I have the goal to qualify for the Olympic Team. I believe that I can put forth the work and effort it will take to swim at the highest level possible. I always strive to give my all at practices and meets, even if it isn't enough. My freshman year, I swam on our high school team and took 3rd at our state championships in the 100 yd. Freestyle. This year, as a Junior, I tool 2nd at state in the 50 free. I hope to swim through college and eventually make the Olympic team. Currently I am on the road to qualifying for Summer Junior Nationals.
