My dream is to compete on the U.S. Olympic team. I'm sure that is almost every swimmer's goal, but there is a difference between me and your average swimmer. Since I first started swimming at age eight, I have loved swimming. My passion for the sport guides me through every obstacle I face, including my size. Currently, I am only 5'2" and most swimmers I compete against are substantially taller. To accommodate for this disadvantage, I've learned to work twice as hard as my teammates by pushing my limits each day in practice. My goal is to attend a college with a very competitive swim team and high ranking academics. I would like to major in Biology, and later, I hope to be accepted into medical school. Through hard work, determination, and commitment, I want to take my swimming career as far as I can and reach my highest potential. Swimming has taught me many valuable skills, and I hope it will always be a part of my life. I am Rebecca Corzine, and I am NOT a typical swimmer.
