Personal Statement

My goals in collegiate swimming are to be a leader for my peers on the team, learn skills that can carry over into my career after swimming, and to continue to develop my morals as an athlete.I'm grateful and privileged to be a part of a team that has my best interests in mind, and I want that to continue into my collegiate experiences as a swimmer. As a leader by example, my teammates can approach me and look to me for support and to be a great friend. My lessons from the pool have transferred into my life outside of the natatorium: whether it's maintaining my GPA or just enduring a long night of AP homework, and I thank my family everyday for supporting me through all of it. So, swimming has taught me to be a better human being in behavior and integrity, and I know I can carry those traits through college swimming.
