I believe I would make a great asset to any team because I am driven and lots of fun. I am not afraid to take risk and be challenged to attain my goals. I have swam for 9 years and unfortunately have had to go through a new coach every 2 to 3 years. I never let that get in the way of my goals to one day swim in college. I have swam on my high school team since I was in the 6th grade. I have made it to state every year in the 500 free and my 8th and 9th grade year I made it in both 500 free and 200 free. I also made all regions team my 8th and 9th grade year at regionals. I was unable to swim my 10th grade year on the high school team because I moved high schools with in the city limits. This caused me to sit out a year but I just put more effort into swimming USA. I was runner up at Ky LSC Long Course Champs when I was a freshman. I am dedicated and have 100% attendance rate not to mention I drive 1.5 hours a day back and fourth to swim. I am unable to swim doubles or weights because of the distance I travel to practice with my team which is 1.5 hours each way. I leave my house every morning at 7:00 AM and return home at 8:30 PM. I am also focussed on my grades. Even though I drive 3 hours away I am great at balancing my time between studying, swim, and family. I am currently taking all honors classes right now. I have a 3.4 now and am working hard to get my GPA up so I can graduate with honors. This year I was able to take 1st in both my 100 breast and 500 free at high school regionals. I went on to compete at state in both events and swam a personal best in my 500 free with a personal best of 5:14.04 dropping 3 seconds and made it back to compete in finals in Louisville Ky. I am looking forward to seeing what I can do my senior years and have set some goals that I feel I can reach. I am ready for long course season to begin. I am also the junior representative for Ozark LSC. I participated this year in Kansas City and was able to see the dry side of swimming and what all goes into the decisions that make swimming what it is today. I know I have what it takes to be an asset to any team. I work hard and am very committed to do what it takes to be the very best I can be. Being a distance swimmer and not having doubles or weights has been a struggle but I also know that there is possibility to flourish once given the chance to do both. I can assure you what I have to offer is dedication!
