Personal Statement
I plan to attend a four-year college and obtain my undergraduate in pre-physical therapy or a related major leading to a physical therapy degree. Then I plan to apply to a physical therapy program and receive a doctorate in physical therapy. I make a good candidate for a collegiate team because when I want something I don't stop until I achieve it. I also have a great work ethic that allows me to find ways to improve even outside of practice. Even when I don't win, I still congratulate all my opponents with a smile, and when leaving a race I always walk over to the coach to ask how I did and what I can do to improve. I am also a team player, always helping my teammates improve their strokes and volunteering on my summer team to help coach the two younger practices. I also received the Leadership Award from my high school coach this past season and the Matt Crigler Award for leadership last summer from my summer coach. When it comes to academics, I take higher level classes in order to push myself into a new level of learning. Next fall, I will be taking dual-credit college courses while attending high school.
