Personal Statement
I'm looking for a college that is a good fit for me both personally and in terms of swimming. Finding a college that provides my major of interest is crucial to me. I want to swim in college because I really enjoy the sport and can't imagine doing anything else. I am an excellent leader and team player and academically, I plan to work hard. I am truly excited for this chapter of my educational and swimming life, as continuing my swimming career in college is a goal of mine.

- The Richard A. Henson Family YMCA is home to one of the highest quality competitive swim programs on the Eastern Shore. Our dynamic and nationally recognized program offers the most comprehensive age group training and development available. Our ASCA and USA Swimming certified professional coaches have over 30 years of combined coaching experience and are experts at training and developing all levels of competitive swimmers. This includes the novice five-year-old beginner to the most elite senior national qualifiers. We focus on the long-term development of our swimmers with a structured, disciplined team concept while promoting the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith. HFY also offers a safe and supportive environment.
