Personal Statement
My love of swimming began when I was just 3yo and later started competitive swimming at 5yo. I am a committed athlete, who is driven and determined to continue getting personal best times.
My volunteer work in the pool includes being an Assistant for the Typhoons Instructional Program for kids ages 3-8yo, which is apart of the Hills of Walden Swim Team. I have been volunteering in this capacity since I was 12yo and really enjoy teaching kids the love of swimming. I am also a lifeguard at the Hills of Walden pool.
Outside the pool, I have tutored third graders at English Landing Elementary School, volunteered at the Riverside Community Center and offered my time to other elementary schools in our school district in their after school activities programs.
I am a respectful, trustworthy individual that has the will and desire to successfully advance my swimming career and most importantly earn my degree in Education.
My goals for college includes the following:
Complete a degree in Education with continued studies in middle school or high school counseling.
Maintain a GPA of 3.7 or higher
Participate in college swimming
Set swimming goals and obtain personal best times.
Get involved in extra college activities.
Participate in internships.
